Weekend in Plano

We had a great weekend in Plano. My sister and Vince and his daughter were there and it was great to see all of them. There were 6 dogs together for the weekend. They all got along really well. Heath and I were in Plano for a friend's wedding. Chad went through the Manager Canidate Program with Heath at United. His wife is really sweet and we are sad that they moved.

BIG Bruce!

Don't worry, they are just playing!

This was on the way home...they are best buds.

While in Dallas we ordered our couch at Crate and Barrel. We are very much looking forward to it's arrival since we only have a chair in the living room now. It will be here in 2-3 weeks. We need a Crate and Barrel in Lubbock!

We also took a little trip to Pottery Barn and got these lovely curtains for the kitchen. Lubbock would be a better place to live with a Pottery Barn too!

Pictures

Taking down the wallpaper in the kitchen.

We have since painted the kitchen a pretty gold color.
Bruce loved barking at Koko (Heath's parents dog) because she didn't want to play with him.

Priming the living room.

Heath was so excited about this drawer.

House update

The house painting is going pretty good. The wallpaper came down fairly easy and the priming was easy. Now, the paneling needs 4 coats of paint. Yes, 4. We thought we would move in this weekend but it will probably be sometime this week. Heath is a master at texturing and I am getting pretty good at painting kitchen cabinets. The paint lady "Troy" at Lowe's is on speed dial=))

Blogger won't let me put pics in right now...so I'll add some later.

By the way, the dogs are doing just great. Bandit is now an official outside dog...it's been chilly here lately so he's not all that happy about it. Bruce is growing...holy cow. We've noticed him eating a lot more and his favorite things to chew on are boxes and fence posts, oh and Bandit=)

More restful nights

Here is another picture of the partners in crime. Bandit and Bruce have been playing NONSTOP since we got him home. They play with each other for hours on end every day. Sometimes Bruce will latch onto Bandit's collar with those razor sharp puppy teeth and Bandit has this look on his face like, "Oh my GOD! You're still here?!?" However, it didn't take long for Hilary and I to notice that more often than not, it was Bandit that started the play sessions with Bruce. I think they have gotten more than used to each other, it seems like they are very rarely more than a few feet apart. This is the picture we took of the 2 of them this past Sunday. Bruce is 12 weeks old now and is noticeably bigger than Bandit.

I have gotten LOTS of questions about the one and only movie I have put on the blog. (Bruce's first night, if you haven't heard it, scroll down and listen...it's beautiful.) Hilary and I joke that we have probably talked a LOT of people out of getting a Rottweiler puppy with that video. I thought that I should definitely post the new video below since everyone has asked me if Bruce still cries like he was in that video. He doesn't cry at night anymore...he sleeps through the night and actually makes sounds like he is snoring sometimes when he is sleeping really hard. He is a great puppy and he mellows a little everyday. In 5 or 6 years, he'll probably resemble a normal dog (just kidding, he's getting better everyday).

11 Weeks

Don't they look innocent...this is the puppy at 11 weeks with Bandito.
While packing, Bruce got ahold of a crocheted scarf and a huge ball of yarn=)

First bath!
Yes, friends the vacuum was running.
What's up!
