Bandit the Bumblebee

For Pet Therapy, I thought it would be fun to dress Bandit up for Halloween. We found this costume at Target and Bandit looked miserable at times, but the kids seemed to enjoy it...and that's what really matters. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Stray has a home....Yeah!

The stray we found 2 weeks ago went to live with the lady that cuts Heath's hair.
They are very excited to have her at their house.
We are very excited that she is living at their house now.
We put adds in 2 papers and nobody called about her. People called wanting the dog...which I found kind of annoying.
I also took her to a groomers and they recognized her, but couldn't find her card. We called about 20 people but none of them were missing a dog.
The moral to the story is that we will be getting Bandit micro-chipped and we will always keep a tag on his collar.

Sad day for Red Raider fans!

Heath is extremely busy with the POS project at work, so I took a child from my classroom to the game on Saturday. It was actually "take a child to the game" day. Anyways, we had a great time. She LOVED the Masked Rider. She LOVED the police horses.

It's hard to explain football to a 5 year old. Every time anyone would cheer she asked "did we win?" I said "no, it's a very long game." She sweetly asked it about 20 more times. She also didn't understand why we didn't want Colorado to miss the field goals=) Here are some pictures from our adventures at Jones Stadium.

Brenda Lou

My great friend from my sorority is getting married this weekend in Abilene. Her bachelorette party was last weekend....here's a picture from it. We had a fun time catching up.

Hilarious

On Friday we went and saw George Lopez with our dear friends Isaac and Amy. It was so funny....haven't laughed that much in a long time.

Point of Grace

On Thursday the Christian group Point of Grace came to Lubbock. We went with some friends from work and it was so fun!

Farley the pig

I (Hil) have become close to a family in my classroom. I took the 2 kids home from a birthday party the other night and they invited me to their backyard to see their pig. They have always talked about "Farley the pig" but they don't live on a farm, so I never was quite sure what to believe. He's real.

the not so nice stray

We still have the stray we found. I hope they call about her soon. It's weird that I am saying that because I LOVE dogs. This one is different though. She's food aggressive, she growls at Bandit all the time (Bandit just wants to play all the time), and she doesn't listen. I called the paper and the AJ and put an add in both so hopefully someone is looking for her and missing her. We put Bruce's BIG kennel back together for her and it's weird seeing a tiny dog in that massive thing!

On our way to church we found....

We were driving down Milwaukee on our way to church and we saw this dog almost get run over twice. So it got in the car with us and is now in our backyard. It doesn't have any tags on. However, it doesn't like Bandit too much. Maybe it's because it's a girl. We are on our way to make some signs and hopefully find the owners.

Fight Raiders Fight

We had a great time at the game. We sold our tickets because my parents were supposed to be in town. They had to cancel their trip, bummer, but we got tickets from someone else=)) The weather was perfect and the game was fun because we won!!! Heath and Hilary
It's not the greatest picture but it's of my (Hilary's) favorite player of all time. It's #20 Danny Amendola scoring the 5th touchdown of the game. I drive Heath nuts at the games looking for #20 and talking about #20. He's really good!

Weekend Warriors

We worked on the floors a lot this weekend. We have found that it is not a one weekend project. We also learned that you have to be a mathematician....which my husband is, so I just laid the planks while he measured. Door jams are no fun! It's going pretty good and I think we are going to finish by our goal. My parents are coming for the A&M game and we wanted to be done by the time they got here.

Here's a view from the living room into the kitchen. We have been eating in the garage for 3 weeks so we are very excited to put the kitchen table in there again=)
